Life Expectancy Calculator
Explore a longevity planning scenario by entering your current age and an assumed number of remaining years. This page does not predict your personal lifespan. The tool deliberately uses your stated assumption rather than manufacturing a health-based death-age score.
Use the Life Expectancy Calculator
How the calculation works
The scenario age is current age plus the assumed remaining years. The approximate day count multiplies those assumed years by 365.2425, a calendar average. Neither output is an actuarial life expectancy estimate or a prediction based on a validated health model.
Worked example
At a current age of 30, an assumption of 40 remaining years gives a scenario age of 70 and approximately 14,610 days. Entering 50 remaining years changes the scenario age to 80. The change reflects your input, not newly learned information about your health.
How to use scenarios responsibly
Compare several assumptions instead of treating one number as certain. A shorter and a longer horizon can help organise questions for retirement or long-term planning. Keep those assumptions clearly labelled when sharing a result.
Why lifestyle questions are not scored here
A quiz that adds or subtracts years for habits can imply precision without a validated model. This calculator avoids that claim. For health concerns, seek individual medical guidance; for pension or financial planning, use the relevant scheme and professional advice.
Important limitations
A population life expectancy is a statistical average for a defined group and time period, not a personal deadline. A responsible personal estimate would need an appropriate validated method and current data. This page has neither and therefore does not label the scenario as your expected lifespan.
Frequently asked questions
Does this predict when I will die?
No. It only displays the scenario you enter.
Why must I supply remaining years?
The tool has no validated personal-lifespan model, so it keeps the assumption explicit.
