Next Birthday Calculator
Find the exact date and weekday of your next birthday and the age you will turn. Use this when booking a celebration or checking whether the next birthday falls on a weekday or weekend. It includes a day count, but the main result is the next birthday date.
Use the Next Birthday Calculator
How the calculation works
The tool places your birth month and day in the current local year. If that birthday is earlier than today, it uses next year; if it is today, it returns today. For a 29 February birth in a non-leap year, choose either 28 February or 1 March. The turning age is the selected birthday year minus the birth year.
Worked example
For a birth date of 10 December 2000, a check on 5 October 2026 shows 10 December 2026, a Thursday, and a turning age of 26.
Choose the result that matches your plan
For a whole-day total, use Days Until My Birthday. For a date and weekday, use Next Birthday. For a continuously changing display, use Birthday Countdown. These pages share birthday arithmetic but present different planning results.
When the birthday is today
The day-count tools return zero rather than skipping straight to next year. The live timer displays a birthday greeting. After the local date advances, calculate again to obtain the next annual birthday. Keep the device clock correct when checking the countdown.
Important limitations
Your browser’s local date determines “today”. A birthday may already have started for somebody in another country. The leap-day choice is a celebration convention and does not settle legal age rules. The countdown uses local midnight, so a daylight-saving day can contain fewer or more than 24 hours.
Frequently asked questions
What if I was born on 29 February?
Select the non-leap-year celebration date in the form; both choices are shown explicitly.
Does the countdown use my birth time?
No. It counts to the beginning of the birthday at local midnight, not to the original time of birth.
